Mercedes Sprinter Broken Key At The Circuit Anglesey

Called out to The Circuit Anglesey on Saturday evening after the customer called autolocksmithanglesey.co.uk requesting assistance with a broken Mercedes Sprinter key.

This is a very common problem on Mercedes Sprinter and Vito vans up to 2004, as the key has very little torsional strength, due to the key profile being flat without ribs along the blade.
We arrived onsite and made a duplicate van key, cloned the transponder chip and left the customer with 2 new working keys.

VW Keys Locked Inside

We are often called out to VW cars and vans with keys locked inside the car.
Did you know that most German vehicles have a self lock function which locks the car/van?
Our advice: If you have a German car or van, please keep hold of your keys when putting things in the boot, as often, the car will self lock and if you close the boot having left the keys in the boot, you will most probably find that the car is locked with the keys inside.
Please be careful not to lock your keys in the car.

Ford Lost Car Keys

Friday evening and a call from the Zip Wire site with a customer who had lost car keys for a Ford Fiesta.
We were called and fought through the Friday traffic along the A55 and arrived onsite at 7.25pm
We were able to gain entry to vehicle and make replacement Ford car keys and get the customer going again by 8pm.
A big thankyou to the ZipWorld staff who waited till our engineer arrived before locking up, enabling the customer to drive home that night instead of the car being locked in the carpark overnight.
A big thank you to Ford Keys who deployed us to the job

Car Key Broke

Wednesday was a little windy and we had two customers who each had their front door blow closed as their car keys were trapped in the front door.
Broken car keys can be quickly replaced and reprogrammed.
The first car with broken key was a replacement Renault Megane key card
The second was a replacement Vauxhall Zafira replacement key

Both jobs were completed in less than an hour and both customers were back on the road the same day.

Vauxhall Combo van, ignition lock key won’t turn

When Mr Paste came to start his van on Wednesday morning, he found that the key would not turn in the ignition.
We attended and removed the ignition lock and repaired it while the customer waited and after repairing the ignition lock on the Vauxhall Combo, we supplied and programmed a spare car key.
Vauxhall ignition locks are well known for failing, usually due to wear and tear and an accumulation of dirt and dust in the lock.

Hidden Van Keys

Keys locked in a VW Transporter T5 van was one of todays auto locksmith Llandudno jobs.
Even though the van had armour lock covers and deadlocks, we opened it quickly and without and damage. The customer was sure he’d locked the keys inside the van and after looking through the van, there was no sign of the van keys.
We were part way through making a VW replacement van key, when the vans owner came over with the original key. He’d somehow left in inside the cardboard inner roll of the toilet roll!
I’ve known keys to be found in unusual places but never in a toilet roll.
